API’s 100-acre shrimp farm is located on Pine Island on the Southwest Florida Coast. Our facility includes an on-site genetics laboratory, a hatchery, 24 grow-out greenhouses, packing plant, lab and support facilities.
Healthy Water for Healthier Shrimp
We are the only facility of our kind to include on-site genetics and DNA testing. In addition, our facility’s water supply comes straight from a salt water well that is fed by the surrounding mangroves. This system versus ocean water helps to limit disease issues in the shrimp.
BioSecurity: A Practical Approach to Protection
We maintain the highest biosecurity measures to ensure that our shrimp continue to exceed expectations. Utilizing strict sanitation such as foot baths and hand-washing stations, as well as constant surveillance and security measures, we are able to maintain a controlled and sanitary environment for our shrimp.
