At API, we utilize p. vannamei broodstock that are both High Vigor and certified Specific Pathogen Free (SPF). This makes our shrimp superior because they are not only disease-free, they are also disease-resistant making them both healthier and stronger.

API’s intensive genetic program, unlike others, utilizes advanced DNA family selection. This virtually eliminates inbreeding and improves future generations’ growth and survival rates. The grow-out trials held at our high-density, bio-floc farm in Florida have revealed a 300% increase in survival with side-by-side comparisons to SPF-only shrimp.

We know that the demand for broodstock is constantly increasing, and our center allows us to select, quarantine, acclimate, and prepare up to 3,000 broodstock pairs daily for shipment.

API’s state-of-the-art hatchery has a capacity of 20 to 30 million Post Larvae (PLs) per month. The PLs are sold all over the United States and Europe, and we can exceed the needs of the current market to provide your business with the healthiest, strongest shrimp.

Find out more information about a shipment of disease-free seedstock. Each pair could potentially produce 3-5 million babies per year, and our healthy, strong shrimp can maintain 4-5 years of production while producing twice as fast.

Price and Terms: The investment per breeder is $65.00 for high Vigor or $88.00 for Dragon Line plus shipping, packaging and official paperwork fees. A 25% deposit is due with the order if the shipment date is more than 90 days into the future. A 50% deposit is required for all accepted orders with a shipping date under 90 days. All orders must be paid in full 10 days prior to any scheduled shipments.
